The Bumps view is a bumps chart: each crew’s place in each edition, joined year to year. Oxford’s charts have used the same form to trace results back to 1815. Switch to Race to inspect how a boat moved through the course in one year. What is a bumps chart? ↗

What this archive covers
Every event, every raced year.
The local archive includes every published RegattaCentral event and result row for the 14 completed Head of the Charles editions from 2012 through 2026: 953 events and 32,985 result rows in all.
How to read it
Two charts, two questions.
In Bumps, each trajectory follows a club’s best finishing place across editions, with hollow dots for additional boats. Rowers are matched by surname and first initial—two people with the same name may appear as one. In Race, Position shows checkpoint ranks, Places gained measures movement from start order, Time gap shows time behind the checkpoint leader, Section time shows each crew’s four course splits, and Section rank compares those splits across the field. Races with handicaps or penalties can also compare rowed and official order.
